Join the organ and piano duo, Eon Malan (NZ) and Jesse Roberts (USA) to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the famous hymn Amazing Grace.

Jesse Roberts (USA)

Jesse E. Roberts began studying piano at the age of 12 and four short years later became the pianist at his home church in North Carolina. He first studied with Debbie Wray and later with concert pianist and recording artist, David Roach, throughout his high school years before enrolling as a psychology major at Gardner-Webb University. While at Gardner-Webb he studied piano with Dr. Carolyn Billings and organ with Miss Elizabeth Bennett. Jesse also served as a staff accompanist in the music department at Gardner-Webb, accompanying the University Chorale and numerous instrumental and vocal students throughout the duration of their studies. During his time as a bachelor's and later graduate student at GWU, Jesse served numerous churches. After his move to Charlotte, he served as organist at Pineville United Methodist Church for one year before later moving into the role of Director of Traditional Worship and Organist there - directing the Sanctuary and handbell choirs, and playing the piano and organ. In 2019 Jesse stepped down to focus on his full-time role as owner of Charlotte Counseling and Wellness, a group psychotherapy practice. He is now the organist at Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.
